The French Ministries of Interior and Economy have created a joint working group to better control the financial circuits linked to travel agencies specialising in the sale of tickets and packages for the Hajj, the annual pilgrimage to Mecca.

The government plans to set up, in coordination with FORIF (Forum de l’Islam de France), a control and transparency body in this field. The objective is to deprive the Muslim Brotherhood of a colossal financial income linked to the Hajj, through the Brotherhood’s indirect control of a large number of travel agencies organising the pilgrimage to Mecca.
