A recent meeting of the Turkish and Qatari secret services in Doha sealed a common strategy for the African continent. The plan has three components: economic investment, security and political-military cooperation.

Through this alliance, Ankara hopes to put the financial resources of Doha and the powerful African networks it has developed in recent years to the benefit of Erdogan’s strategy to counter French influence on the continent.
